Ask This Old House:
Ask This Old House travels to towns and cities visiting perplexed homeowners nationwide. In response to demand from viewers craving more personal advice and information from the This Old House experts, the spin-off series.
Ask This Old House was created in 2002. Ask This Old House features the familiar faces of host Kevin O’Connor, general contractor Tom Silva, plumbing & heating expert Richard Trethewey and landscape contractor Roger Cook, who make in-person House calls to assist perplexed homeowners nationwide with everyday household challenges. In addition to traveling across the US, Ask This Old House continues to help people near the show’s home base of Boston, and the entire New England region, find solutions to their DIY problems. Home enthusiasts of all skill levels benefit from step-by-step instructions of do-it-yourself techniques and family-friendly projects while learning about the latest tools, products, and energy efficiency tips. Each week, the expert crew attempts to answer, “What is it?” during the fan favourite segment in which the guys try to stump each other with strange-looking tools. They also sift through the mailbag, which is bursting with questions from viewers covering home-related topics such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, and landscaping.
