‘Failing Better Now’ is a love song to Manhattan’s downtown, specifically the East Village. It’s theme is universal and the characters are relatable no matter where you’re from. ‘Failing Better Now’ is about growing up at the age of thirty (or at least realizing that you have to start somewhere). It has the makings of the traditional romantic comedy but also a quirkiness and honesty that you wouldn’t find in the glamorized Hollywood movies. It’s about the absurdity and necessity of trying to follow your dream… because even if it is a cliché, it’s your life.
