Christopher the Christmas Tree
Christopher the Christmas Tree is the story of a small scraggly pine tree whose only wish is to one day become a beautiful Christmas tree in the home of a special family. Each year, however, he is passed by until finally he is left all alone. As time passes, Christopher grows too tall to ever hope of becoming a Christmas tree. He befriends a little owl named Whooty and becomes the sole protector for him and the other animals at the tree farm in Hidden Hollow. One day he receives an unexpected visit by the men in a big red truck who have come to cut him down. Distraught, he believes he is being taken for use as firewood. Instead, he finds himself presented at the United Nations Plaza as a symbol of peace and goodwill to all the children of the world.
