Time Compass- Ancient Civilizations ties for first place in children’s non-fiction
CCI Entertainment’s Co-Chairman and CEO Arnie Zipursky is pleased to congratulate Sol 90 for their success at the 2009 Prix Jeunesse, Iberoamerican Edition. Time Compass, a 32 x 11 minute edutainment series distributed by CCI Entertainment, tied for first place in the non-fiction kids 7-11 category. The other first place property that received the award was Notipakapaka.. The award was granted to Sol 90 for the series’ Ancient China episode which aired as part of the Time Compass- Great Civilizations series in Canal 7, Argentina. Based on this success Sol 90 has been invited to participate in the International Edition of the Prix Jeunesse that takes place in Munich in May 2010.
This is the 4th time this prestigious European Awards hosted an Iberoamerican edition. The biannual contest -that promotes excellence in children’s TV- was open to any program produced and aired in Spain, Portugal or any other Latin American country within the last two years. There were approximately150 entries in total.
