CCI Entertainment and CBC's Turbo Dogs Revvs Things Up At The 2009 Telly Awards
CCI Entertainment along with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation are pleased to announce the success of Turbo Dogs at this years Telly Awards. The series won a bronze in the Children’s Television Category. The announcement came this week and is the first Telly Award for the series. Turbo Dogs, the critically acclaimed animated series airs on CBC in Canada and qubo in the United States.
Currently Turbo Dogs ranks #1 on NBC’s qubo block on Saturday mornings! The series is also the recipient of the 2009 US iParenting Media Award for Best Product in the television category.
The Telly Awards honor the very best local, regional, and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions, and work created for the Web. The Telly Awards receives over 13,000 entries annually from the finest ad agencies, production companies, TV stations, cable companies, interactive agencies and corporations in the world.
Turbo Dogs is about the antics of a wacky, dog-filled community that is wild about racing. Based on the book Racer Dogs by award winning illustrator Bob Kolar, Turbo Dogs brings the unique world of Racerville to life via rich 3D animation and high-octane storylines. The Hollywood Reporter states, “Going to the dogs is a good thing in this charming new animated series. The best thing about Turbo Dogs is its flawless animation. It's all stuff kids will love…”
The series is a collaboration between CCI Entertainment and Huhu Studios produced in association with CBC. Scholastic Media hold the US rights. Targeted to kids 4-7 years of age, the show combines laughs, learning, and the thrill of the open road.
