BROADCASTERS CONTINUE TO CATCH THE BUG

CCI’s animated comedy series Erky Perky fulfils needs of the international marketplace

TORONTO (November 9, 2009) CCI Entertainment’s Arnie Zipursky is pleased to announce continuing sales of its hit children’s property, Erky Perky. The series has just been sold to Pop TV in the UK - home to Winx Club, Super Mario and Ruby Gloom - as well as SVT Sweden, NRK Norway, TRT Turkey and MNET South Africa, and Spain's TV3 Catalunya. The series already airs in over 120 countries including Canada, the United States, Australia, Ireland, Denmark, France, and throughout Asia.  

Zipursky states, “The series seems to be answering the call of many of our broadcast partners as there is a strong need for comedy in the 7 – 11 demographic. Also, the quality of the animation combined with the fact that there are now 78 episodes makes it even more appealing.”

Matthew Street, Executive Producer added, “Strong ratings for series three coupled with the high volume of traffic to the new website in Australia shows that the Erky Perky brand is really resonating with our target audience and it’s terrific to see so many broadcasters appreciating the unique style and humour of the series.”

 Erky Perky (78 x 11) is a 3D animated HD series targeting kids 7 -11. The Canadian-Australian co-production is based around two bug buddies, Erky and Perky, hungry little insects and crumb connoisseurs. The trouble is they’re trapped in a clean Kitchen with no food in sight and they have to outwit their nemesis Mad Margaret in order to avoid starvation...but she can fly!

Erky and Perky might be great friends but their combination never seems to be in sync. They’re more Abbott and Costello than Torvill and Dean. Erky hatches harebrained schemes and Perky is the crash test dummy carrying them out. Invariably their bold plans fail more often than not and they’re left red faced in front of all the other bugs in Kitchen…and still HUNGRY!
