BROADCASTERS GET BITTEN BY THE BUGS CCI ANNOUNCES ERKY PERKY SALES TO GO ALONG WITH SLEW OF NOMINATIONS CCI Entertainment is pleased to announce continuing sales of its hit children’s property, Erky Perky to TV2 Denmark, Sopresa in the United States, SRC in Canada, and HBO Asia. Negotiations have also begun for sending the bugs to Latin America. These exciting sales follow on the heels of two nominations for the series, one for Best Animated Series at the 2008 Banff Rockie Awards, and the other for Best Fictional Children’s Series 7-11 at the 2008 Prix Jeunesse International. Erky Perky (52 x 11) features the adventures of two humorous, bickering and very lovable bugs, Erky and Perky whoare living an idyllic life on a downtown hotdog stand when by accident they are rudely thrust into a take-away hot dog bag and their horror end up in a sterile kitchen with NO FOOD IN SIGHT. Surrounded by a crew of misfits with a range of hilarious personalities including Mad Margaret, Sajuica, Frenzel, Stinks, and Moldy Van Oldy, Erky Perky has been thrilling audiences since it’s screening in Australia on Channel 7 and ABC TV and YTV in Canada in October 2007. A co-production between Toronto based CCI Entertainment and Sydney based Ambience Entertainment, Erky Perky is a 3D animated series in HD format that truly brings these hysterical bugs to life.
