YTV’s HIT REALITY SHOW GHOST TRACKERS INSPIRES www.ghosttrackers.tv
YTV and CCI Entertainment’s hit reality series GHOST TRACKERS has spawned the new, highly interactive www.ghosttrackers.tv, a unique web site that provides the opportunity to train as a ghost tracker and conduct real ghost-tracking investigations on-line.
Ghost Trackers, which premiered on YTV in fall 2005, has just been renewed for a second season and has quickly become one of the most watched kid’s series in Canada. “Kids are clamouring to get on the series, we’re inundated with requests so we decided to offer the same ghost-tracking experience on-line,” says co-producer Chris Gudgeon.
“Airing on YTV and Discovery Kids, Ghost Trackers has attracted a widespread audience,” said Phil Piazza, Vice President, Programming, Corus Children’s Television. “Its unique concept of combining paranormal activities with nail-biting missions has proved successful with our kid’s television fans.”
The new Ghost Trackers web site features two main sections: a fan site and interactive ghost tracker training game that lets users test their skills – and nerve – in real time haunted houses.
The game site offers leading-edge graphics and technology, and teaches virtual trackers everything they need to know about the art and science of ghost hunting. Using real ghost hunting equipment and techniques in a variety haunted locations, players get to solve spine-tingling mysteries buried in a series of highly interactive and spooky scenarios.
The fan-site features profiles of past and present Ghost Trackers, background information on investigations, ghost-cams, at Ghost Hunting 101 guide for aspiring trackers as well as updates of ongoing competitions and behind-the-scenes information about the show.
