CCI And SEVEN24 Join Forces to Launch New Series & Movie Projects
Two of Canada’s most respected production companies have announced at KIDSCREEN a new co-venture to develop, produce and distribute new children’s television series and family movies. Arnie Zipursky Co-Chairman and CEO and Jim Corston Exec. VP of Production of CCI Entertainment and Tom Cox and Jordy Randall, Managing Partners of SEVEN24 Films (formerly Alberta Filmworks) announced that they will combine their production and distribution capabilities to produce several new properties over the next three years.
The two companies co-produced 15 episodes of the live-action/CGI series “Dinosapien” last year for BBC, Discovery USA and BBC Kids. They are currently in development on the next 13 episodes to be produced in July.
“The combination of expertise will enable us to deliver a world class product to our international partners. The combination of creative development, live-action and animation production and distribution expertise allow us to enhance the product at every stage,” says Arnie Zipursky. “The two companies have such complimentary skill-sets, we’re natural partners.”
The CCI Entertainment/SEVEN24 Films co-venture has commenced development on a new 13 episode tween television series entitled “Stuck in the Middle”. They have also begun work on two movies; a Halloween thriller and a comedic family Christmas movie.
